ONMAKE xMath is the formula and calculation editor of the ONMAKE suite: LaTeX, MathML, symbolic and numerical calculation, 2D/3D graphs. Every step is shown, not just the result, and it goes into ONMAKE Editor as a live object, editable and recalculable.
The principle
A numerical result on its own does not explain how it was reached. xMath shows every step of the calculation, from the formula applied to the numerical substitution, all the way to the result, in the same form you would write it by hand on paper.
Example
T(t) = γ′(t)|γ′(t)| = ( cos t√5 , −sin t√5 , 2√5 )
√(cos²t + sin²t + 4) → √(1 + 4) = √5, every step is shown, not just the result.
What it handles
Born as a module inside xTdC for structural calculation, xMath has been brought out as a standalone, math-only product: function analysis, derivatives, integrals, equations, limits, 2D/3D graphs.
Derivatives, integrals, equations and limits, with the working always visible.
Function analysis, including functions of two variables, with graphical representation of the results.
Formula editor with LaTeX and MathML input, for correct mathematical notation.
Formulas go into ONMAKE Editor as editable, recalculable objects, not static images.
Origin and account
xMath started as a calculation module inside xTdC and is also available as a standalone application, for those who need math only. It uses the same ONMAKE account that works across the whole suite.
xMath opens from ONMAKE APP with your ONMAKE account.
